Bedford Mass Wedding - Very Very Fun
"An amazingly organized and flexible DJ who kept the dancefloor packed and chose perfect music for dinnertime conversation. His music is all mp3 and he is hooked up to the internet, so if guests request a song that he does not have, he instantly downloads it so guests won't be disappointed! He was also the most reasonably-priced DJ we met."
Fantastic Wedding! Fantastic Review! A+

Event-Experince on WeddingWire! Nice Review!
Review on WeddingWire.com:
DJ Erik did an amazing job of DJing our wedding. He was extremely creative and responsive prior to the event, meeting with us multiple times, and being highly interactive by email and google docs. He went out of his way to find some songs we didn't think were possible to locate, and he worked well with international music. We truly loved working with him - and he did both our ceremony and our reception - and would recommend him to anyone looking for a relaxed, approachable, and entirely "at your service" DJ. It's great to work with someone so mature in his attitude, and so young and fun in his style!

Last Wedding Of the 2009 Season... What did they have to say????
The night was so fun. So fun... Shout out to DJ Corey who was there every step of the way!
Pictures are coming soon - check back in...
Here's the email:
Hey Erik
Sorry it has taken us so long to get back to you. We have been so busy since we got back from our honeymoon. We are now just settling into married life!
We had such an amazing time at our wedding. It was seriously the best party ever and we owe it all to you. You should see some of the pictures from Melissa and Rene, the dance floor was packed the entire night. We have gotten so many compliments on the music at our wedding from all of our guest. In fact a hand full of them wanted your contact information for their future parties.
You chose the perfect music the entire night. From cocktail hour to dinner and dancing it all just flowed perfectly. We were so happy and confident to have you as our "music maker". You made it the best party ever.
All of our family and friends are still talking about how fun the after party was. It was like being at our own private new york A list night club. One of our favorite parts of the night were watching everyone at the after party, especially my sister and cousins up at the DJ station singing along to all the songs on the microphone. We can not that you enough for making our wedding the party of our lifetime!
We hope that you and your family had a great Holiday and have a wonderful New Year!
Thank you!
Kate and Jesse

Sunny Wedding on a Cloudy Day
Kate and Ethan are a really cool couple! Their reception was held at the Brookside Club on Cape Cod.
Such a nice location!
It rained outside but inside it was all sunshine and rainbows!
The Cocktail hour was held on the deck in the back overlooking the 'Green'. Very nice.
The Cocktail hour music was carefully selected music with a few “child-friendly” songs dropped in for the kids in attendance. They were scooting around the dance floor and dancing a little here and there. The older kids were putting in their requests early.
The introduction was really fun. Each couple was introduced to their own 'theme music'. After they came in the bridal party did a choreographed dance to a MEGA-MIX that was prepared by the Kate. (You know it had to be good if the DJ was impressed!) The dance was really good!
After they shared their first dance the rest of the night had not a dull moment!
The night flowed in a great way.
There were special moments throughout that just made it all worth it.
There was the impromptu dance-off to a Michael Jackson medley, the tribute to the family who couldn't make it to “Sweet Home Alabama” where everyone at the reception danced for their video camera, the tender moments, and a party that didn't want to end.
Some special requests and dances at just the right time during the night and an always-packed dance floor – made the celebration a success!
The audience was very friendly and fun!
Kate and Ethan are really loved and it showed!
Congratulations!

A Fantastic Night In A Beautiful Environment
The location was the Fuller Craft Museum ( http://www.fullercraft.org/ ) which happens to be unbelievable! Thanks to the coordinator Anne Marie
The music was set up inside in a very nice room with a fantastic wood carving display. I did however want to still play music outside - roughly 200 ft from where we were set up. Looking in the utility bag there was enough cable to have the music I know Richelle and Mark wanted for their guests outside with a nice rich crisp sound - at the same time be completely operational in the reception hall.
The music Mark selected for the cocktail hour was mainly '40s style jazz. It suited the occasion nicely.
The reception was a fun mix of traditional Lebanese music and some fantastic dance music. I was able to mix songs so they were long enough to preserve special moments and keep the atmosphere going.
During the night there was a surprise performance by Grammy nominated Chris Trapper - who sang "Away We Go". The song was amazing and will definitely be in my Secret Sauce collection.
The dance music continued - one of the highlights was "I Like To Move It" by Will.I.am. His version has some nice crowd participation that the guests really seemed to enjoy.
The night was rounded out with a traditional Lebanese dance, "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel, and some fun songs like "Sweet Caroline" and "All Summer Long".
It was a fantastic night in a beautiful environment.
Congratulations Richelle and Mark!

From a great couple! Congratulations!
Erik, mos
Jonathan and I would like to thank you from the most deep part of our hearts for providing the best, most professional delivery of music for our very special day. You were very attentive to our requests, needs, and concerns. You met with us when it was feasible for our schedule and still stayed in touch over the months to offer suggestions and really, just check in to see how we were doing with all our wedding plans. We especially appreciate the reliability and quality sound of your equipment well as your professional attire.
All the music flowed perfectly, there wasn't one time that the dance floor was empty. You are a HUGE part of the reason why so many of our guests said that our wedding was the best they've ever attended. They said they loved the music and couldn't leave the dance floor! You definitely brought the latest music, best mixes, and exclusive soundtracks for that night. We have referred you to a countless number of people and please believe that we will be using again!
You are what they call, The DJs favorite DJ!
Thank you DJ Erik

The type of letter's your DJ should get... (We get 'em..)
Anyways - this is another great review!
See below:
"DJ Erik! How are you my man? We had such a blast at our wedding and much of it was thanks to you. We would be more than happy to write a recommendation for you, and will do so as soon as we get our pictures on a cd. Everyone was talking about the music, and how much they usually hate dinner music but that they were singing along to yours. The videographers were raving about how good you did and talked about recommending you to there clients. They actually wanted a list of the music you played, like the cool ones during dinner and the cover songs. I wouldnt mind downloading it either haha. But thank you so much again, you made it alot more special and very unique to who we are. We will get that too you asap with the pictures. Thank you again, and we will talk to you soon!!"
Good times... Good times... Wayside Inn Sudbury, Ma
(They did...)
And of course a fantastic music selection!

Nathalia & Jonathan's Super Day! (And the NE Pinto Association!)
I was looking forward to Nathalia and Jonathan's wedding for a long time. They both love really good music - so we hit it off just great from the very first minute.
Their reception was super classy! Of all of my years of playing I've never seen a dance floor in a gazebo before. It was incredible!
The play list had plenty of classics and modern dance tracks - and I had a ball mixing the two the entire evening.
During the cocktail hour the hotel manager and four or five guests asked me to record the music I was playing. I was truly in a zone and loving the feedback.
Playing to the audience was fantastic and everyone danced. It got so good that PART DEUX of this blog goes into THE END RESULT.
During the dance music - I noticed that the hotel staff was really enjoying the music and atmosphere. I was in the middle of my final dance set when I got a tap on my shoulder from the president of the New England Pinto Horse Association (www.nepinto.com). She was loving the music - and asked if I could come over and play for their Award Dinner - down the hall. Short story shorter... I did... And what a fantastic time they had! I played a little country and alot of dance music and they had a blast!
I recently heard from a wedding vendor that some DJ's get really picky about playing overtime and doing "extra" time...
That doesn't happen with Event-Experience.
Congratulations Nathalia & Jonathan!
Happy riding New England Pinto Association.
Your family-friendly DJ,
DJ Erik

Summer on Martha's Vineyard Event
In May I had the privilege of playing for a great great family on Martha's Vineyard! The Giles Family uses Event-Experience for their events! This was my third visit to MV just for them. I love it!
The property is located near the Gay Head Cliffs and it's always a pleasure to play for them!
This particular time - everything started in the afternoon and went into the night.
The music crossed the spectrum of just about everything! I started with some easy listening favorites and even moved into some pre-teen Disney hits for some of the younger girls. (They loved it!)
As the night went on - there was a nice mix of guests from all over the country and various musical tastes and requests. I couldn't believe the floor was active from the first song! Eventually I delved into some great party classics, some New York flavored Disco hits (for the Native NY's), some reggae, and some merengue.
The best part of the night was in the later hours when the true classic dance hits started to play - and I explored some of the deeper classics with a hot mix of "Fantastic Voyage" and some Barry White. The quote of the day for this event was, "I kept trying to leave... The music made me want to stay until the end."
Wonderful weekend! I hope to be back and playing on Martha's Vineyard again soon!

Katerina & Tim's Wedding
Katerina & Tim's wedding was a very interesting mix of good music. In our final music preparation meeting we talked for about 2 hours about all different kinds of music - we did alot of listening and laughing. Very fun final preparation meeting.
The Reception was at the Doubletree Hotel in Milford, Ma. (www.bostonmilford.doubletree.com).
The music was great! I played alot of my acoustical "secret" sauce selections. The crowd really loved the music! One of my favorites that night was the acoustic version of "Hey Ya" (Thanks Scrubs TV Show) - that vibe was just right when I played it and people were singing along!
The music for the night was a mixture of classic dance music and Latin selections of merengue and bachata! Very nice crowd - who danced till the very end.
The final selection was you guessed it... an acoustic favorite of mine "Forever".
Congrats Katerina & Tim - you make an awesome couple!

Congrats to Alixe & Ted Silva
The Cocktail Hour was an amazing selection of music that ran from Sinatra, to Stevie Wonder, to Landon Pigg, and even The Fresh Prince! Needless to say, the dance floor was 'active' from the very beginning.
The Dinner Buffet was no different. A precious moment during the dinner was when the guests were settling into their meals; Alixe and Ted enjoyed some downtime talking in the corner of the dancefloor. I played "Tattoo/No One", (one of my secret recipe's from my rare accoustic catalogue) at which point they started an intimate dance/conversation. Of all of the great music and fun that happenned Saturday night - that was one of my favorite highlights.
Congratulations Alixe and Ted!
